Online Class "Let's Sing in Japanese!"
Let's Sing in Japanese
For people who love Japanese songs and want to sing naturally in Japanese.
No singing experience required.
In this class, you will:
・Improve Japanese pronunciation through singing
・Learn natural rhythm and word flow
・Understand lyrics and meaning
・Build confidence in singing Japanese songs
Singing in Japanese can be different from speaking it ― the pronunciation, rhythm, and the way words are broken up all change when you sing. In this class, you'll learn how to pronounce Japanese naturally while singing, how to follow the rhythm, and how to make your performance sound more authentic and confident.
You'll choose a Japanese song you want to sing, and we'll go through it together, line by line. I'll prepare the lyrics for you in both romaji (Roman letters) and hiragana/katakana. If you can read hiragana or katakana, it will make learning even easier ― so combining this class with the Japanese Foundations class is also a great idea!
Since I'm from Okinawa, we can even learn an Okinawan song if you're curious.
※This class is all about singing for fun in Japanese. It's not formal vocal training ― just a relaxed space to enjoy the language through music.
[Fee] CHF 50 / 60-minute online lesson(Students : 30 CHF)
[Lesson Flow – 60 minutes]
・Japanese pronunciation warm-up & vocal prep (15–20 min)
・ Singing practice with your chosen song (40 min)
We'll work on pronunciation, word flow, and rhythm while looking at the lyrics together.
※Please send me your song in advance so I can prepare the lyrics for our session!
[Notes]
Lessons are adapted to your pace and style.
In most cases, it takes a few lessons to finish one song.
But if you'd like just a one-time session ― for example,
"Please help me with the intro and chorus, I'll practice the rest myself!" ―that's totally fine too.
And if you'd like to sing more and go deeper, you're very welcome to book longer sessions (like 2 hours) as well!
